Our Service Area

Gardening & Landscaping News

What makes us naturally unique in Syracuse, NY & Onondaga County for gardening and landscaping services?

Well generally speaking, gardening and landscaping are our calls to service.  And more specifically, we specialize in plantings, native plants, gardening, PRO lawn care and plantscapes (i.e. softscapes).  But at the crux of it all, here's without a doubt what sets us apart:

  • Knowledge - For instance, did you know there is a best way to dig a planting hole?  To begin with it should be saucer-shaped, but no deeper than just shy of the root ball height.  Of course, we'll do just that, in addition to so much more.  Indeed, we have the information and references to get the job done right.
  • Skill - Subsequently, with our knowledge coupled with over seven years of field experience, we can produce and deliver high quality results accordingly.
  • Personalized service - And finally the most important aspect, your project will be done with your desired preferences and solutions in mind.  Maybe, you have a budget above all to consider.  Or, perhaps you love certain plants in particular, or like the lawn done in a special way.  In any case, we'll get our tools ready and offer solutions based on our knowledge and skills.  Because no job is too small or too unique for us.

A note about native plants.

To point out, native plants have been cultivated to rival or match the foliage and flowering of many popular non-native species.  By all means consider switching out some or all for native ones, such as Potentilla instead of Spirea.  Subsequently you'll be supporting the local ecosystem.  As a matter of fact, that includes food for birds, and pollen for helpful insects.  Furthermore, using native plants adds more to the landscaping value of the yard rather than using non-native varieties.  Of course, we'll help you with the best selection for your project.

Our Philosophy

Enjoyment.  Simplicity.  Respect.

Get to know us by how we think.  Because, we carry out our work based on three principles.

  1. Enjoyment
  2. Simplicity
  3. Respect

Simply said, we love the hard but rewarding work of gardening. Taking joy in the smallest of creatures, the most overlooked of plants, or the most gritty of tasks can turn something uneventful into an otherwise most magical day.

We carry out our work with respect toward both the customer and the environment.  And as a result, we hope our customers can more fully enjoy their yards.

The Approach We Take: Finding Paths to Nature

Get to know us by how we work.  Quality is included with every job.  Such a Lush gives particular attention to detail and our methods, as well as knowledge from our collective experience.  Additionally, we seek out and implement best practices as recommended by University Cooperative Extensions, Master Gardener resources, and industry leaders. These groups research horticultural practices and their impact on the environment and plant health.  By using this collection of information, our company is part of an environmental service chain that includes the environment, the homeowner, suppliers, and learning organizations.  And lastly, know that we are continually listening to feedback from you as well as nature, and making adjustments accordingly to improve our service.
